Rules and Regulations:
Delegates must adhere to the following policies to ensure the safety and fun of all attendees. Failure to abide by these rules may result in punishment, including but not limited to: ejection from committee, notification to sponsor, or loss of eligibility for an award.
PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism of any form is strictly prohibited at OTHSMUN. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, verbatim or near-verbatim copying and pasting from academic sources or other websites. This rule applies to position papers, draft resolutions, directives, and other documents that a delegate may produce throughout the conference.
PRE-WRITTEN DOCUMENTS
Delegates are not permitted to bring pre-written resolutions of any kind to the conference. However, this does not include resources such as related research or UN documents, which are allowed to be used in committee as long as it follows the aforementioned plagiarism policy.
Electronics
Delegates are permitted to bring electronics to the conference, but are prohibited in their use during committee sessions. Laptops will be allowed use in-session for the purpose of crafting working papers/draft resolutions and other electronics may be used at the discretion of the dais.
Dress Code
Delegates must be in appropriate attire at all times throughout the conference and are encouraged to dress in western professional business attire.
Other
The policies stated above may change depending on circumstances and are not the only rules that may be enforced. The Secretariat asks all participants to be respectful of the staff and behave in a school-appropriate manner throughout this conference.
